June 18th 1793. Capture of La Cleopatre. An original aquatint from Jenkins' Naval Achievements published in 1817.

The naval aquatint engraved by Thomas Sutherland, hand-coloured by Thomas Whitcombe, and first published on April 1st 1815. 

Just 4 Naval General Service Medal clasps, (Nymphe 18 June 1793) were claimed & awarded.

The Action taking place just off the Devonshire coast. The Cleopatre later added to the Royal Navy's fleet and re-named  HMS Oiseau (the French for 'bird').

 Size with borders: 33.0 cm x 28.0 cm. Full size as removed from the original, bound volume.   

Condition report: Colour quality excellent, & bright. The aquatint with 'additional border' being the galley from the original, bound volume. Never framed.
