Waterloo Medal for sale to Private Thomas Gregg, 2nd Battalion, 95th Regiment of Foot [The Rifles]. The medal with silver clip, ring suspension with ribbon and great provenance.

Condition report: The Waterloo Medal in very good overall condition. The medal showing general wear and marks to the field commensurate with being worn with other medals. The medal detail and naming are clear. The ribbon a 1970s replacement.

Notes on Thomas Gregg (also shown as Thomas Grigg): Born 1795 in Bideford, Devon. Joined the 2/9rth at Gosport, Hants, 30th November 1813. Discharged from service May 1833.

Notes on the 2nd Battalion, 95th Regiment of Foot: In the thick of battle at Waterloo, the 2nd Battalion, 95th sustained a 42% casualty rate. The 2/95th were invited by Wellington to head the triumphal entry into Paris on 7th July 1815.
