 WWI Military Medal with Bar, 1914 Star, War Medal, and Victory Medal for sale. The WW1 British medal group, to Private Thomas Carter, 2^nd Manchester Regiment. The Military Medal impressed to 2/Manch.Regt. and retaining the Bar to the MM. The 1914 Star, War Medal & Victory Medal all impressed to Manchester Regt.

Condition report: The Military Medal in excellent overall condition. Clean medal and Bar with replacement ribbon. The 1914 Star with Aug-Nov Bar, War Medal, and Victory Medal also in excellent overall condition. The war Medal with original silk ribbon.

Note: Photocopy of 1914-15 Star, War Medal, Victory medal entitlement. Photocopies of Military Medal & Bar entitlement, and copy of Gazette  from May 1917. 

Additional notes: Various copies of documents included. One hand written document states Carter was a reservist called up at the outbreak of war, and was wounded at Mons (information from Oldham Chronical). Another note states of the 2/Manchester Regt, only 150 men of the battalion survived the Battle of the Somme. Some copies of diaries included.
