SS Teardrop Sword Hanger | First Issue Year Of 1936

SS teardrop-shaped sword hanger made from black leather with nickle-silver fittings and spring-clip. The pebble-finish spring-clip marked 'RZM M5/72' to the reverse. The SS sword hanger complete with belt loop assembly, and an adjustable strap arrangement. The reverse impressed with the markings, 'SS 1/36 RZM.'

Condition report: Overall very good to excellent condition. the leather dry but remaining supple. The adjustable strap showing some useage.

Note: 1936 was the first year the SS Officers sword was officially presented:a few unofficial presentations were made in late 1935. As such, the SS sword hanger offered for sale,  was made in the initial production year. A particularly rare accoutrement.
