Dachau production SS officer sword for sale. The SS officer sword made from 1938 and with typical stainless steel type fittings throughout. The top hilt-capping unscrews direct from the blade. This style being typical for the manufacture of Dachau produced SS swords.

The sword with good black ebony grip, highlighted with 13 metal bands. The silver metal Runes disc fitted to the centre. The underside to the  hilt free from the SS Rune symbol within an octagon shape, and with a black leather pad (also typical of Dachau production.

The blade in polished steel, and with the PMD Rostfrei manufacture's name. The scabbard with black painted shell. The stainless steel top mount bearing the flat head screws. The bottom stainless steel mount correctly pressed into position. The sword is complete with its original SS officers silver wire portepee, and a black leather tear-drop hanger (no SS markings present).

Condition report: The  SS officer sword remains in excellent overall condition throughout. The stainless steel fittings clean and with a nice polished appearence. The ebony grip with its black finish intact, and with a pleasant sheen. The blade in close to mint overall condition. The scabbard shell near perfect (approximately 98% original black paint finish remaining), the shell with a small dent to the lower section (obverse/reverse). The silver portepee showing use, and the black leather tear-drop hanger  clean, (with supple leather).
