SS Röhm dagger for sale made by Herder, Solingen. The 1933 pattern, 'full Röhm,' SS dagger, in fine condition, with authoritative provenance.

The ebony dagger grip is in excellent condition with an excellent fit to the solid nickel-silver upper and lower crossguards. The lower crossguard bears the SS gruppe number 'I.'

The blade to the SS Röhm dagger  in excellent condition with approximately 95% of the original polish & crossgrain remaining. The 'Meine Ehre Heisst Treue' is clear and sharp, similarly, the Herder maker cartouche, and the dedication  'In Herzlicher Freundschaft Ernst Röhm'  to the reverse.

The anodised scabbard shows light use overall, and has a reasonable amount of the original black anodising remaining (90%). The solid nickel-silver dagger mounts are in very good condition, with all screws present. The SS dagger is also complete with both its black leather hanging strap and belt loop.

Note: Just 9,900 Ernst Röhm dedication SS daggers were allocated for distribution to authorised recipients. Following the purge of Röhm in 1934, (the legendary 'night of the long knives'), Röhm dedciations were removed from all daggers under Himmler's instruction; dedciations were either totally or partially erased, consequently, just a handful of SS 'full Röhm' daggers survived the Third Reich-era intact.*

Today, SS 'full Röhm' daggers are coveted by discriminating edged-weapon, collectors across the globe; this particular 'full Röhm' SS dagger, benefits from fine condition and authoritative provenance.

Provenance: Ex. Robert Waitts Collection.

* 'partially erased:' Ernst Röhm name erased/dedication left intact.
