RZM SA Dagger. M7/13. 1933 Pattern. Provenance.

An RZM-issue SA dagger for sale. The RZM, SA dagger with M7/13, the code-number for the well known maker, Artur Schüttelhofer, Solingen. The SA dagger is complete with typical later 1930s nickel-silver plated fittings thoughout. Retaining a fine red wood grip (which fits neatly to the upper- and lower crossguards), the grip bears the SA Rune, and the aluminium eagle & swastika motif.

The blade obverse with the 'Alles Für Deutschland' motto, and the reverse with the RZM trademark  and M7/13 code-number. The scabbard has a typical brown painted shell, with the nickel-silver plated top and bottom mounts.

Condition report: Some usual loss to the plated finish on the upper- and lower crossguards. Grip in excellent condition free from any major cracks or damage, and with a very pleasant red colour. The blade with a light polished finish, the crossgrain now lost. Scabbard shell in good order, with much of the plated finish remaining, including a near perfect bottom ball. Approximately 70% of the original brown paint finish to the shell.

Provenance: Brought back from Germany (to England) by Serjeant John Henry, Royal Engineers, 1945.
