A Royal Flying Corps, medal trio for sale. The Royal Flying Corps medals, to Captain James Brown, No. 12 Squadron. The medals include;
RFC War Medal,
Victory Medal,
Constabulary Faithful Service Medal.
The War Medal & Victory Medal impressed with name, rank and Royal Air Force, (RAF) designation. The Constabulary medal with name only. The medal group complete with ribbons.
Condition report: The Royal Flying Corps medal trio in excellent overall condition. The ribbons silk, and possibly original to the medals.
Note: Captain James Leonard Brown joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917. Photocopies of documents confirm Brown had a;
"fair knowledge of electricity and petrol motors, hence joined the Royal Flying Corps."
Brown joined No. 12 Squadron as an Observer, undertaking numerous photographic-missions, and counter-attack patrols. Captain Brown was credited with three kills.
