RAF Chaplain's Medals | Boxed  + Insignia

Two RAF Chaplain Medals for sale. The boxed RAF Medals include the 1939-1945 Medal and Defence Medal. Both RAF Medals with original ribbons. The Medals in typical tan-coloured  box addressed to Rev.D (David) Pike, Bolton, Lancs.

In addition to the medals and box, the sale includes, the RAF Chaplain metal insignia, with the gilt RAF badge to the centre of a black cross, and to the centre of wings. Photocopies of some documents.

Condition report: The box and medals in excellent to near mint condition. The RAF Chaplain insignia also in close to mint condition.

Note: The Reverend David Pike was a Methodist Minister & Chaplain in the RAF from August 1941, with a relative rank of Squadron Leader. Pike was still shown as a Chaplain to the Forces in 1946. How much longer he continued in his capacity as Chaplain is unknown. The group worthy of further research.
