A RAD hewer for sale made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. The RAD hewer with  staghorn grip-plates and nickel-silver, over-metal pommel to the lower crossguard. The blade  obverse bearing the RAD motto (nice and crisp with darkening within the letters).  The RAD & Eickhorn cartouche to the reverse. The scabbard has nickel-silver over-metal mounts with painted body

Condition report: The Staghorn grip plates in excellent condition (free from damage). The blade is beautifully bright, with about 95% original polished finish remaining. The obverse RAD motto nice and crisp with darkening within the letters.  The RAD & Eickhorn cartouche also crisp. The scabbard with 90% original painted finish remaining. The RAD hewer is uncleaned and toned with age.
