The pickelhaube retains its original leather lining, with silk lining to the crown. A circular, brass-cartouche is mounted to the back, confirming the size, '55.'To the leather shell, a circular paper disk with the manufacturer's logo.

Condition report: Overall excellent condition to the shell, with some typical age related crazing. Some loss to mercuric gilting to the front plate. The black plume remaining complete and in particularly good condition. The interior showing just light use.
