Pickelhaube | M1915 Bavarian NCO

Bavarian Pickelhaube for sale. The M1915 , NCO Pickelhaube  showing light-wear, and age. The helmet body has a pair of  original holes (grommeted in steel), for the M1915 Bavarian front-plate. The distance between the holes is 52mm, therefore the holes will only accommodate a Bavarian-plate.

The M1915 helmet retains its original brass-spike (now with a dark patina), and helmet-plate with gilt-finish and attached, silvered, Bavarian cross.

The lining with original, black leather, 9-finger liner. The number '58,' being the helmet-size, is ink-stamped to the shell.

Condition report: The picklehaube in very good overall condition. Now showing typical age related crazing, along with age darkening and general patina to the plate and fittings. Both V-shaped leather wedges are intact and appear to be the originals. Both the original Reich- and Bavarian-cockade are in very good, to excellent condition, with just light-ageing and paint-loss. The helmet chinstrap is an original.
