A Napoleonic button for sale. The officer tunic button to the Chatham Volunteers (1796-1816).
Size: 18.00 mm diameter.
Condition report: the button excavated. Typical darkening and patina. 'GR' crown, and stylised 'CV' clear. Much mercuric gilt finish remains to the crown and designation. Shank missing.
