Napoleonic Royal Navy Ship's Captain Epaulettes

Napoleonic Royal Navy matched pair of epaulettes for the rank of Captain. Beautiful quality with golden brocades and turned wires on a padded metal frame. Finished to the underneaths with fine dark blue velvet, and with metal tongues for attachment to the tunic. The epaulettes fitted with a golden metal 1801 - 1812 pattern anchor button.

Condition report: Light aging to the golden brocade, and some general age darkening to the golden wires. The wires still complete, and remaining neatly fixed. The velvet in generally good condition, with some wear evident towards the leading edges.
