Dated Case-Back

RAF watch for sale by Longines. The WW2 vintage navigation watch with white dial, press fit case-back, chromed brass turned case (40.0 mm x 34.0 mm excluding crown).The dial with the Longines brand-name, 1-12 hour digits, fine blued hands with sweep seconds.

To the reverse, case-back with markings, Air Ministry 'AM' '6B/159,'  serial number and date (1943). The high quality Longines movement nicely-finished and with typical solid brass bridges. The fine balance with screw-in weights. The Longines brand-name, to the main bridge.

Condition report: The chrome case in good clean condition with most chrome present (some wear showing to the high points). Plexi-glass clear. Dial good and original. Hands near-perfect with original blued finish. Movement clean and functioning [no warranty implied]. The original mercuric gilt finishing to the bridges in place. Case-back particularly clean and free from adverse scratches or damage. Markings clear.
