Smiths British Army Contract watch | W10 | Hacking Seconds 

British Army watch for sale made by Smiths. The W10 designated contract watch with large stainless steel turned case and  contract screw case-back. Typical black dial with the Smiths name in full, War Department arrow, and Tritium 'T' designation. The dial with 1-12 hour digits with luminous hour marks. Central sweep seconds.

The reverse with the screw case-back with markings, War Department arrow, 'WIO/6645-99-961-4045  1558 / 69.' With case-back opened, an inner anti-magnetic case is revealed, which removes to expose the movement. The high-quality gilted-brass movement with serial number. The hacking-seconds set by pulling the crown out fully. 

Condition report: New-old-stock. Close to mint condition throughout with original dull-polished finish. Dial perfect. All markings to case-back perfect. Movement particularly clean, functioning, and recently serviced. No warranty implied.

Note: W10 Smiths 'hacking seconds' watches in  new-old-stock condition are particularly rare.
