RAF watch for sale made by International Watch Company (IWC), Switzerland. The RAF watch a coveted, MK.II model, dating from 1951.
The RAF watch with large stainless steel turned case and with contract screw case-back. Typical black dial with the International Watch Company name in full, War Department arrow, and Tritium 'T' designation. The dial with 1-12 hour digits and 60-second scale with luminous hour marks. Subsidiary seconds dial at 18.00hrs.
The reverse with the screw case-back with markings, War Department arrow, '6B / 546-552 / 51.' With case-back opened, an inner anti-magnetic case is revealed, which removes to expose the movement with a protective steel core.
The high quality, 15-jewel movement with Geneva Stripes to the main bridges. The balance with screw in weights. The IWC maker-name, and War Department arrow to the main bridge.
The watch is offered for sale with a blue-grey, Royal Air Force, Nato-style, strap.
Condition report: Just light use to the case. plexi-glass clear and free from adverse scratching. Dial clean and original. Hands with original paint finish. Case-back clean and free from adverse scratches or damage. The timepiece with recently replaced new old stock winding stem along with correct IWC crown. The anti-magnetic plate intact. Movement particularly clean, functioning, and recently serviced.

Provenance: A document included with sale, confirms the RAF watch was purchased in 1960 (from an army service colleague), remaining the property of the purchaser until 2013.
