Royal Air Force World War 2 operations Omega watch for sale. Manufactured around 1940. The RAF navigation watch with white dial, press fit case-back, chromed brass turned case (40.0 mm x 32.0 mm excluding crown) .The dial with the Omega brand-name, 1-12 hour digits, and sweep seconds hand.

To the reverse, case-back with markings, War Department  arrow, '6B/159' and 'A' prefix along with serial number ' 27204'. The high quality steel movement nicely-finished. The balance with screw-in weights. The Omega brand-name, and movement number to the main bridge.

Condition report: The satin chrome finish to the case surviving in overall very good to excellent condition, free from the usual case damage associated with these watches. Plexi-glass clear and free from adverse scratching. The original dial in very good to excellent condition with just light age patination. Hands perfect with original blued finish. Case-back particularly clean and free from adverse scratches or damage. Movement particularly clean and functioning. No warranty implied.

Note: The RAF 6B / 159 watches were used extensively during World War 2. The white dials were a part of the contract style, allowing the dial to be seen more easily on operations.
