 Military General Service Medal for sale with its original award box. The medal awarded to Private James Weatherspoon of the 26th Regiment of  Foot (Scottish Cameronians). The Military General Service Medal with Corunna clasp, and  complete with its original award box with inked handwritten dedication, '1465 James Weatherspoon 26th Foot'.

Condition report: The medal surviving in overall very good to excellent condition with all detail to the obverse & reverse clear and crisp. The impressed naming clear. A few small edge knocks. The long original silk ribbon showing some light use overall. The look of the ribbon and medal shows that Weatherspoon actually wore his medal after reciept. The typical cardboard award box remaining in surprisingly good condition. The box top with the clear dark blue (black ?) ink script dedication.

Note: The 26th Foot were the Cameronians, a Scottish unit.

Additional notes: Supplied with copy of the award roll page for the MGS medal with Corunna clasp. The roll page giving Weatherspoon's roll number as '1465'.
