A 1940, Luftwaffe aircraft clock for sale. The  Junghans FL23885, clock, was used in numerous WW2 German fighter aircraft, including the legendary ME109.

The Luftwaffe clock with metal aluminium case, and brass bezel ring finished in Luftwaffe field-blue paint.  The moveable bezel with red pointer, and 0-60 marks in white. A brass wind  hand set knob sits at the 12.00hrs position.The face to the knob impressed with the Junghans name and cartouche. To the base of the setting knob in the impressed and white-infilled works details, 'Bo-Uk-I-Fl-23885

The black dial with 1-12 luminous-coated digits. A subsidiary, 30-second counter is displayed at 18.00hrs. The hands with luminous inner coating. A sweep seconds hand in white.

The reverse with press fit backplate, which opens to reveal the steel finished 36 hour movement. The movement with brass wheels throughout and good balance with screw weights. The upper and lower movement plates with matching numbers, '22444'.

Condition report: Case in excellent condition with 95% original field-blue paint remaining. Clean original black dial still retaining all the luminous numbers. The movement in good clean condition, and in running order. No warranty implied.

Note: The 'version 3a,'  FL 23885, Junghans clock was fitted to  the following Luftwaffe aircraft including the Me109, JU87, Me110, Fw190, and others.
