Luftwaffe Knights Cross document / photograph group to Stuka Air Ace Walter Stimpel.

Stimpel flew with Geschwader 77 (the Stuka Squadron). The group includes Stimpel's 'Vorschlagsliste' with an excellent portrait photograph. Document dated 1941 detailing the reasons for awarding the Knights Cross. Further 'Vorschlagsliste' detailing the award of the Knights Cross.

Detailed report from fellow Knights Cross holder Oberstleutnant Orthofer concerning actions where Stimpel was present  (and therefore qualifying for the Knights Cross). Further docments include one from Göring accepting the proposal for Stimpel to be awarded the Knights Cross. Photographs taken by Stimpel using a Luftwaffe 'Robot' camera. A black leatherette covered photograph album with 38 excellent photographs showing Stimpel in several Luftwaffe uniforms including flight, dress, and even wearing (plus the white summer visor cap). Numerous photos detailing flight preparation and the  Stuka undergoing maintenance.
