German Luftwaffe steel helmet for sale. The WW2, M40 steel helmet in typical Luftwaffe blue/grey smooth paint with single, 2nd pattern, Luftwaffe, eagle & swastika decal.

The helmet-shell stamped to the rear with production number '572,' maker-code and size-stamp 'ET 68' to the side. The Luftwaffe helmet with its original mid-brown leather liner, pullcord, and black leather chinstrap; the chinstrap stamped with the maker-initials and date, 'FEK 41.'

Condition report: The M40, Luftwaffe steel helmet with 85% field-blue paint finish, the single eagle & swastika decal also at 85%. The mid-brown leather lining is well-used; one of four tongues missing, three tongues (which would tie to the pullcord), with broken ends. The Luftwaffe helmet with its original pullcord attached to the other, liner-tongues. Chinstrap in very good condition.
