Imperial German Flyer's badge for sale. Manufactured by the prestigious Berlin-based firm of C.E.Juncker, this is one of the few original cased examples known to exist.

The badge in silver (800 standard), manufactured in hollowed form with silver back. The award has the design of the Prussian crown at the top of a wreath of oakleaves and laurel leaves. To the centre an aircraft in flight. Reverse in plain silver with a vertical long pin assembly. The manufacturer's name, C.E.Juncker, Berlin,  impressed above the bottom hook, along with a crescent and '800' silver stamp.

The case in black leatherette, to the inside roof, white silk with fine gold blocked C.E.Juncker name and address, along with the Company's logo. The ase in dark purple velvet fitted to accept the award.

Condition report: The award in excellent condition, uncleaned and with light age darkening to the silver. Detail exceptional, free from wear or damage. The case showing just light use overall, but free from any major damage. The hinges and press stud still functioing.

Provenance: Acquired from the 1987 Dodkins sale, and in one collection since that time.
