Hitler 50th Birthday Porcelain Presentation Plaque
April 20th 1939. Adolf Hitler's 50th birthday was declared a national holiday by the government of Nazi Germany. In addition to extravagant festivities, Hitler's 'benchmark birthday' was also an opportunity for Germany to express her military capabilities.
Books, films, a hymn, a 'birthday beer,' porcelian busts and plaques were among the items created to commemorate this significant day.
The porcelain presentation plaque, designed to commemorate Hitler's 50th birthday, shows Hitler's head in relief. The artist initials 'K.S.E.' are to the base. The reverse shows a dediction in relief.
