Captain Edward Scott uniform and ephemera grouping. The grouping consists of the following items:
Uniform Parts
1-British steel helmet complete with camouflage string cover 1940s
2-Black beret with lion over crown bullion wire insignia. The cap made by the Luton Knitting Company.
3-Officer khaki tunic by Hawkes & Co Saville Row. Named to Edward Scott and dated 16.4.1941. The tunic with Crown over Bugle buttons and metal bugle and star to the collar. The epaulettes with three large pips to each. The tunic with extensive mothing.
4-Wool trousers with the check of the Cameronians. The trousers marked Capt.E.Scott
5-Full Sam Brown leather belt and buckle with crosstrap. The belt with makers panel of Bernard Weatherill, London
6-Waterbottle with markings, Jury, England
7-Miscelleaneous tunic insignia
8-Miscelleaneous buttons, pips, shoulder devises for the Cheshire Regiment
9-Metal and enamel car badge carried by officers of the Cheshire Regiment

Condition report: The helmet, trousers, hat, belt, ephemera and insignia all surviving in generally good clean condition. The tunic suffering from much mothing.
Provenance: The above items belonging to Captain Edward Scott. He was fighting with the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) and saw action at Arnheim, Oosterbeek, and the River Scheldt assault, before he was involved in the capture of Bremen. The grouping has been consigned to us from Captain Scott's son. A document of provenance detailing the above information, is included in the sale. Photocopies relating to Captain Scott's wartime career also included.
