Gauleiter & Blood Order recipient, Alfred Proksch signature for sale. The ink signature on a hunting invitation card to SS-Obergruppenführer Querner. The high quality, hand-made card pre-printed by the distinguished Vienna-based printing house, 'Theyer & Hardtmuth.' Size: 15cm x 10cm.

Copper-plate raised green National-Socialist hunting symbol to the right-hand corner (bearing swastika and antlers). The invitation giving SS-Obergruppenführer Querner a days hunting on 28th November 1943. He is advised to bring his gun permit and hunting permit. Typed details to the reverse advise Querner to bring his own breakfast, and states that food will be available after the day's hunting. The invitation bearing a fine ink hand signature of Gauleiter Alfred Proksch.

Condition report: Light use /storage age. File holes. Staple holes.

Additional information on Alfred Proksch: Proksch was instrumental in leading many factions of the Austrian National-Socialists, including taking over as leader of Linz. In 1928 he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Austrian Nazi Party. He was awarded both the Golden Party Badge and the Blood Order decoration. Proksch was appointed as Gauleiter in 1934, and was later promoted to SA-Obergruppenführer. Proksch is a particularly rare Gauleiter signature to obtain.

Additional information on SS General Quener: Querner joined the Nazi Party in 1933 and joined the SS in 1938 (Commander of the Prague Ordnungspolizei 1940-1941). From May 1941 to January 1943, Querner was the SS & Police Leader for Nordsee, based in Hamburg and working alongside Gauleiter Karl Kaufmann. From January 1943 to October 1944, Querner was the HSSPF for District XVII based in Vienna, and it would be during this time that he became friendly with Gauleiter Alfred Proksch. From October 1944 until May 1945 he was the HSSPF for District XI based in Braunschweig.
