Hardbound book published by the NSDAP in 1941. The book chronicles the life of Gauleiter Hans Schemm. The Gauleiter died in 1935, after being involved in an aircraft crash. Text with scattered black and white images.

Condition report: Publication complete with its original dust jacket. Some creasing to the edges, but complete. Good spine. Pages clean, but browned to the edges with age.

Note: Schemm, the son of a shoemaker, he left university as a Bacteriaologist. During the First World War, Schemm worked in hospitals as a Bacterialogist. in 1919 he joined one of the many Freikorps, and via the Freikorps eventually joined the NSDAP in the early 1920s. Within the NSDAP he was involved in public speaking, and running various NSDAP newspapers.From 1927, Schemm held the rank of Gauleiter.
