Waffen-SS Das Reich Division Panzer Wrapover

Stunning officer wrapover jacket from a premier fighting division

Black wool gabardine SS pattern Panzer wrapover jacket for the rank of SS-Untersturmfuhrer. The jacket complete with a fine Officer quality Runes collar patch, in silver-aluminium wire, along with companion rank patch bearing three aluminium pips. Both collar patches machine-sewn to the collar. The epaulettes with pink silk piping on black wool, and with silver braided top, tailored into the jacket.

To the left sleeve, the Waffen-SS officer quality silver-aluminium bullion wire eagle/swastika motif, of particularly high quality embroidery. The eagle/swastika typically tailor sewn to the jacket sleeve.  To the lower sleeve, a fine woven flatwire cuff title for ‘Das Reich’. The cuff title, typically, hand sewn to the jacket sleeve. To the left lapel a ribbon for the award of the Iron Cross 2nd class. There are also three sets of loops for breast badges.

The interior with a fine black silk lining, and with off white tailor inner sleeves. A woven tailor's label to the lining top centre, for the well-known frm of Meyer & Romer, Frankfurt am Main.

Condition report:  The wrapover jacket showing just light service wear. All the insignia remains bright and fresh looking, and is free from oxidation. The jacket free from any moth or other damage. The lining showing some light wear overall.
