SS General Wilhelm Reinhard signature on citation. The large and impressive citation awarded to  a member of Freikorps "Haas" in 1937. The citation has a depiction of a monument to the top with a border of oakleaves and laurel leaves. SS General Wilhelm Reinhard has signed the citation in ink above a printed logo of the Kyffhauserbund organisation, which he headed. The citation is actually numbered to the lower left (75960). Size: 35cm x 26cm.

Condition report: Removed from a frame. Free from fading. Free from folds or other damage. Reverse has brown paper edging from fitting into a frame.

Rarity status (Up to 10 rarest):7/10.

Background to Wilhelm Reinhard:  A First World War veteran, Reinhard took over as head of the National Socialist War Veterans Association (Kyffhausserbund) in the 1930s. Joining the SS, Reinhard was later promoted to SS-Obergruppenführer.

Background to Freikorps Haas: After the First World War, General-Major Haas  formed Freikorps Haas,  to fight against any Communist uprisings. The Freikorps Haaas was later absorbed into other Freikorps units, many members of which later joined the NSDAP, SA and SS.
