Polizei General Visor Cap

Made by Munich’s premier capmakers, August Muller

Finest police field-grey doeskin wool material, with a dark brown wool capband and fine golden wire piping. The cap complete with its National cockade, mercuric golden plated wreathed eagle & swastika, and golden wire capcords. Interior is in a beige silk, and complete with a full celluloid diamond bearing a woven August Muller name and logo to the centre. The woven logo replicates a Third Reich visor cap complete with eagle insignia. The cap interior is finished with a mid-tan brown sweatband. Size marked 57.

Condition report: The cap remaining in excellent overall condition showing just light service use. The cap body is free from moth or other damage. The gold wire piping has darkened with age, as has the insignia and cords. The interior shows just light use, and is free from any damage.

Note: The firm of August Muller was situated on the expensive Munich Dachauerstrasse, their clients included many top ranking political and military personnel.
