Rare - To - Market Omega

Omega are known to have supplied a small amount of timepieces for use by the Kriegsmarine & Luftwaffe. Such timepeices remain today as great rarities missing from even advanced collections.

Kriegsmarine deck clock for sale made by Omega. The brass-cased, early production Kriegsmarine clock with matt-silvered  dial. 1 -12 numbers with lume coating. Subsidiary seconds at the 6.0 clock position.  Omega brand name with lgog below the 12.0 clokc position. Kriegsmarine eagle/swastika 'M' at 9.0 clock, and serial number '9241' and 'N' at the 3.0 clock position.

Plexi-glass with stain black metal surround. Hinged face exposing the movement for winding. Omega brand name to the wind key. Omega marked main bridge with serial numbering. Good quality balance with screw in weights. Hinged back panel with two holes for bulkhead mounting. Reverse of back with eagle/swastika and serial number.

Condition report: Front glass and surround loose from housing. Dial in generally good condition. Lume intact to numbers. Some marks to face. Hands in place. Hinge in working order, allowing access to the movement. The movement clean, but not functioning. The back section showing general use, and much silvered finish now gone, exposing the brass base metal.

Additional notes: The Omega company only received small contracts from the German War Department, hence any Omega German Military timepieces are rare to market.
