Lovely Cord Issue

Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager NCO cuff title. The cuff title (probably manufactured by Lothar Von Dreden & Co) with off-white heavy cord gothic lettering on a green wool-doeskin field, with off white cord tresse to the upper- and lower-edges. Length: 38cm.

Condition report: The Luftwaffe cuff title removed from a tunic. Showing just light service use only. A few moth nips present. Appears to be full length as manufactured.

Notes: Fallschirm-Jäger Regiment 1 was an elite German military parachute-landing unit that fought during World War II. The unit fought in Crete and Monte-Cassino before being moved to the Adriatic towards war's end. Being forced to withdraw due to overwhelming allied numbers, they finally surrended on 2nd May 1945.
