SS Police General tunic 

SS Polizei Generalleutnant tunic for sale. The tunic tailored by the firm of Brack in Dresden, in fine field-grey material, and with dark brown collar and cuffs, piped in green. The tunic with pleated top pockets, and lower box pockets. Fine matching golden pebble buttons throughout.

The tunic with a matched pair of polizei Generalleutnant collar patches (machine-sewn into position), with golden wire on green doeskin. Matching epaulettes with gold & silver entwined braids on a green doeskin base. The left sleeve with a hand-embroidered golden wire wreathed eagle/swastika on field-grey (hand-sewn into position). An SS Runes insignia to the lower left pocket, finished in silver-aluminium on field-grey (hand-sewn into position). Loops for various awards.

Interior with a fine brown satinised cotton lining, and with distinctive tailors stripes to the sleeves. The Brack tailor label to the top centre , sewn into place. Additonally their name label is also sewn into the the inside of the pocket.

Condition report: The tunic showing some light general wear overall. The insignia clean, but with slight aging to the golden wires. The inside pocket label with the original owner's name cut from the label. The tunic free from moth or other damage.

Provenance: The European consigner states the tunic was acquired from the USA-based specialist collector, Richard Peacher, in the 1990s. Peacher having owned the tunic from the later 1970s.
