Fallschirmjager Badge By GWL | Cased

Fallschirmjäger (Paratrooper) badge manufactured by GWL with case. This example being an earlier silvered wreath example. The badge with silvered wreath and mercuric gilt eagle/swastika. The wing edge of the eagle, along with the swastika burnished to a crisp polished appearance. The reverse with the typical GWL sunken rivets. The GWL initials within a circle, impressed to the centre. Typical needle pin assembly. The case of issue in blue with the gold blocked designation to the lid. Interior with blue flocked base, along with blue satin roof.

Condition report: Badge with 95% silvered and gilt finish remaining. Some pleasant age darkening to the silvered wreath. The case in overall very good towards excellent condition. A small chip to the blue outer covering, and the interior flock base faded. Case fastener functioing.
