Deutsche Volkssturm Wehrmacht armband for sale. This a particularly rare woven Deutsche Volkssturm Wehrmacht armband, with red silk upper- & lower borders, black centre with white eagle & swastika motifs, and 'DEUTSCHER VOLKSSTURM WEHRMACT' designation. Length: 42cm

Condition report: Overall very good towards excellent condition.  Full length. Two very small holes close to one end (possibly from a staple).

Note: Approximately ten woven examples are known to survive today. There are two schools of thought as to why most Deutsche Volkssturm Wehrmact armbands were printed;

1.  An initial production of woven armbands may have been contracted-out, and thereafter due to cost and quantity, printed versions - being comparatively less expensive to produce, were made instead.Or-
   
2. Woven Deutsche Volkssturm Wehrmacht armbands were possibly worn by higher-ranks only.
