Condition report: The SS officer sword  in very good overall condition throughout. The nickel-silver mounts with darkened recesses. The ebony grip showing some light use. The off white leather, hilt-to-blade washer with light age. The blade in very good overall condition, with some graying evident. The scabbard shell clean with approximately 90% black paint finish.

Provenance: Peter Burree collection 1980 - 2019. Acquired by Burree from Ray Colt, proprietor of the military antiques business, Casque & Gauntlet. Anytime an artefact came into Colt’s shop direct from an ex-soldier or relative, Colt would telephone Burree, and he would purchase it. That became the criteria for the Burree collection. With the recent death of Colt, Burree has decided to dispose of his collection, and hopes others might get as much enjoyment from his various artefacts, as he has throughout his collecting years.
