Austrian 'Hitlerbewegung' Party Membership Badge

A small piece of history

Austrian NSDAP 'Hitlerbewegung' Party Membership Badge for sale. The early 1930s metal badge with red/white and black enamel:the red enamel typically translucent over a pebble base. Reverse with brooch pin fitting and maker logo.

Condition report: Some general use and age patina. Enamel in generally good order, slight wear visible. Translucent red enamel particularly fine. Reverse with some general discolouration and corrosion around the pin assembly.

Note: Until the Annexation of Austria and Germany, the Austrian NSDAP was known as the 'Hitler Bewegung' (Hitler Movement). After the failed Putsch of 1934, the movement had to go largely underground. This membership would have been worn between the late 1920s, and 1934.
