SS officer sword | great condition | great length


SS Officer sword for sale with original portepee and with solid nickel-silver fittings throughout. The Krebs manufactured SS sword made in the mid-1930s. The top hilt-capping unscrews to reveal the standard 'stepped' fitting to the inside. This style being typical for the manufacture of  most SS swords.

The SS Officer sword with ebony grip, highlighted with 13 metal bands. The silver metal Runes disc fitted to the centre. The original owner'sSS membership number to the back spine. The underside to the  hilt shows the SS Rune symbol within an octagon shape. 

The blade in polished steel.  A white leather washer still in position. The scabbard with black painted shell. The nickel-silver top mount bearing the SS Rune symbol within an octagon shape. The bottom nickel-silver fitting correctly pressed into position. The SS sword  complete with its original SS officers silver-wire portepee.

Overall size: 99cm. Blade size: 84cm.

Condition report: The SS officer sword  in very good to excellent condition throughout. The nickel-silver mounts crisp and well defined. The ebony grip showing just light use. The white leather, hilt-to-blade washer with light age. The blade in excellent condition, with the original polished steel finish free from pitting or graying. The scabbard shell with approximately 95% black paint finish. The silver portepee showing just light age and use. 

Note: The sword remains unresearched by the present owner.
