Extortion from high up in the SS

SS General Kaltenbrunner, as head of the Security Service (SD), finds the culprit

 

General Ernst Kaltenbrunner ink signature: full 'Der Chef Der Sicherheitspolizei Und Des SD' headed paper. Document dated 8.7.1943. Typed three document with written notations. Good ink signature, Kaltenbrunner. Full 'Hauptamt SS-Gericht' ink stamp.

Content: This three page typed document from SS General Kaltenbrunner (Head of the Security Services) to SS General Breithaupt (Head of the SS Courts). Kaltenbrunner has found evidence that SS-Oberführer Dr.David has been involved in extortion. In particular Dr.David has used his position within the SS to acquire a luxurious villa, and to undertake various work to it. Kaltenbrunner's findings within this three page document have been sent to SS General Breithaupt, and Kaltenbrunner is asking for Breithaupt to take suitable disciplinary action against Dr.David.

Condition report: Two files holes. Slight tears to top left corner where staples were. Some overall browning of the paper. Evidence of two light folds.  Otherwise clean. Free from fading.

Background to Kaltenbrunner: Born 4 October 1903 [Austria]. Died 16 October 1946. The son of a lawyer, and senior official of Nazi Germany during WW2. Promoted to the rank of SS-Obergruppenführer. Between January 1943 and May 1945, Kaltenbrunner held the offices of Chief of the Reich Main Security Office (Reichssicherheitshauptamt; RSHA).

Nuremburg Trials:  Kaltenbrunner was the highest-ranking member of the SS to face trial at the first Nuremberg Trials. Further to being found guilty of war crimes [Count 3], and crimes against humanity [Count 4], he was executed.
