Reichsführer-SS Himmler Special presentation book presented to members of the Police and SD

Published as a limited run in 1939 by the direction of Reichsführer-SS Himmler, and Reichsminister Frick. Jederzeit Einsatzbereit, is a photographic study of the Police and SD. Within the forward are fine photographs of SS General Daluege, and Heydrich, as heads of the Ordnungpolizei and SD respectively.

The covers show members of the Ordnungspolizei to the obverse, carrying the special Polizei 'Deutschland Erwache' standard. To the reverse are guards outside the SD headquarters in Berlin. To the inside is the presentation page with large Polizei eagle/swastika to the top. The dedication states that this book has been given to members of the Polizei. The photo book includes approximately 80 images showing members of the Polizei and SD.

Condition report:  The covers in generally good order, but with obvious wear to the edges. Spine remains intact. Interior pages mainly clean.

Note: An exceptionally rare publication, which clearly shows both the Police and SD going about their duties.
