A Nuremberg desk eagle for sale.  This Nuremberg desk eagle is a particularly fine miniature representation, of the  6 metre high bronze Nuremberg eagles positioned to each side of the main podium (Ehrentribune) at the Nuremberg rally grounds ( made famous in the propoganda film Triumph of The Will, Lina Riefenstahl, 1935). 

The desk eagle is made with an antique bronzed finish over spelter base metal, and mounted to a marble plinth. To the reverse the eagle bears a typical light relief RZM trademark and maker designation M3/100.

The desk eagle measures 18.0 cm high with base. 

Condition report: Close to mint condition with 98% of the antique bronzed finish. The marble base remaining in excellent overall condition (one slight corner chip). 

Note: Nuremburg desk eagles were often given as prizes for competitions held at the Nuremberg rallies, and also as presentations to members of the political elite. Officially produced Nuremberg desk eagles include the relief RZM maker details to the reverse. Unoffical examples are also known to have been made. There are at least three size variants.
