A Kriegsmarine Auxiliary Cruiser Badge. The early-production, solid brass, Kriegsmarine badge in mint condition.

The badge with 100% mercuric gilt finish with grey anodised globe. Frontal relief  details a wiking ship over globe within oakleaves border. The eagle & swastika to the top. The swastika nicely burnished. Reverse bears a dulled gilt finish and vertical flat tapered pin. The globe with a single rivet.

Condition report: A particularly fine Kriegsmarine Auxillary Cruiser Badge, still retaining 100% of the gilt and grey anodised finish.

Provenance: Acquired from the German medal specialist, Detlev Niemann (2004), and offered for sale with a Niemann document of authenticity.
