An SS chained dagger for sale. The type II, 1936 pattern SS chained dagger, with nickel-silver plated mounts, ebony grip, enamel Runes eye and aluminium eagle & swastika cartouche. The top and bottom dagger mounts with a nickel-silver plated finish. The SS dagger blade with the 'Meine Ehre Heisst Treue' motto to the obverse. The reverse to the dagger blade, free of manufacturer maker-mark or name, being typical for SS chained daggers.

The scabbard  to the dagger has type II, nickel-silver plated chains, with typical, well-impressed Runes to the reverse: the centre band with two screws. The scabbard shell in black anodised finish.

Condition report: Grip with three splits towards  the neck on the top crossguard, (seen from the reverse, and possibly caused by over-tightening). Some typical pitting to the plated fittings, however approximately 98% plated finish remaining. The blade with a good original polish and crossgrain finish remaining. Scabbard shell with 98% black anodised finish remaining, and even some original lacquer still present in areas: comparatively more to the reverse. The  dagger chains in particularly good order, with 99% nickel-silver plated finish remaining to obverse and reverse. The chain links in good order, free from weld-splits or other damage. Spring clip functioning. Bottom ball intact and free from dents or splits. All screws present.
