SS Officer Candidate sword for sale. The SS officer candidate sword manufactured by the firm of Hermann Rath, is later 1930s manufacture with nickel-silver plated fittings throughout. The fine decorative cap screwing into the tang. The black ebony grip with the standard '13' silver wire bands.

The polished steel blade bearing the Hermann Rath name and trademark, along with the SS entwined Runes logo. The logo sanctioning this piece as an official contract sword. The scabbard with black painted shell. The nickel-silver plated top mount with typical stylised scrolls The bottom nickel-silver plated fitting correctly and screwed into position. 

Condition report: The  SS Officer Candidate sword remaining in overall very good to excellent condition. The grip free from any splits or other damage, and with an excellent black ebony finish remaining. The nickel-silver mounts in good order. The blade with good polished finish, and free from any unsightly pitting. The scabbard shell with approximately 80% original black paint finish remaining.
