An SS chained dagger for sale in overall very good to excellent condition. The 1936 pattern, type I dagger with ebony grip (two quite large chips, one obverse bottom, one reverse top) with the aluminum eagle & swastika motif, and originally-wrapped silver aluminum portepee. It is interesting to note the particularly high-set Runes eye. 

The unmarked blade is in excellent overall condition, and free from any greying.  The dagger with the typical type 1 nickel-silver plated chains, and impressed Runes with octagon to the reverse. The black anodised scabbard is near perfect, with 95% anodised finish remaining. The bottom ball is also perfect. The nickle-silver plated fittings are in overall very good condition (the chains and centre band showing age darkening). Detail to the links is superb.
