Background to Daluege: Kurt Daluege Born 15 September 1897 – Died 24 October 1946. Rising to the highest rank within the SS, Daluege became SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer and Generaloberst of the Police He was in charge of the national uniformed Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), and ruled the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia as Deputy Protector after Reinhard Heydrich's assassination. After the end of World War II, he was extradited to Czechoslovakia, convicted as a war criminal and executed in 1946.
