Historical group
Group of boxed medal, along with associated items originally belonging to Able Seaman Victor Bromage. He served aboard HMS Ark Royal, and was one of those taken off the ship after it was torpedoed by a U-Boat in 1941. The Bromage group sold by the family in 2013. Provenance document included.
The Medals in the typical tan-coloured box addressed to Mr V Bromage. The Royal Navy medals consisting of the 1939-45 Star, The Atlantic Star, The 1939-45 Medal, The defence Medal. The medals complete with their entitlement document.
Also apart of the group, Bromage's original HMS Ark Royal naval cap tally. His bullion wie qualification insignia. A medal ribbon bar as removed from a jacket. A photograph (post-war copy) showing Bromage.
Condition report: The box and medal group in overall excellent condition. The certificate with standard folds. The cap tally as removed from a cap, and with service use and age darkening to the wire work. Likewise age darkening to the qualificiation badge.
Provenance: Sold by the Bromage family in 2013. A signed document of provenance from the collector that purchased the group direct from the family in 2013.
