Luftwaffe Generals sword by the prestigious Solingen-based company, Carl Eickhorn. The sword with gilted pommel and deep yellow to orange ivorine grip. The bottom guards hinged, and the front with an attached silvered Luftwaffe eagle/swastika. The fine fully polished blade with beautiful triple-etching. The obverse with the blue & gilt dedication, 'An dankbarer Anerkennung', and the reverse with the dedication, 'Der Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe Hermann Goring. The reverse also bearing the full Eickhorn name and logo. The scabbard in black leather and with upper and lower gilted mounts. The sword complete with its original old silver and blue-striped portepee.

Condition report: The sword in overall very good towards excellent condition and showing some light service use. The hilt with most gilted finish remaining. The ivorine grip clean and free from adverse damage. The gilted brass bandings tight and clean.  The blade with 98% polished steel finish remaining. The triple-etching typically deep and sharp. Some losses to the blue and gilt (80%). Scabbard with good leather free from major issues. The gilted brass fittings clean. The portepee showing some natural age darkening.
