Luftwaffe General Der Flieger overcoat for sale. A stunning coat tailored in the finest field-blue doeskin cloth, and with the white piped collar and white lapels. The coat complete with its matching full general rank epaulettes with entwined silver and gold wires on white doeskin, and with two silvered pips to each. The collar patches for the rank of General Der Flieger, with three wings in golden wire within a full wreath, all on a white doeskin base, and with golden wire piping. Golden pebble finished buttons throughout. The overcoat with a full woven tailors label of Averbeck & broskamp, along with their naming label to the inside pocket. The naming label with the inked name of the original General cut out. The label has a tailoring date of 1944. The lining in a beautiful blue-grey coloured silk.

Condition report: Overall excellent condition, with light age visible. Some light wear to the interior. The faintest signs of moth tracking in a couple of places. No holes, or other damage. All mercuric gilt pebble buttons in place. The insignia lightly toned with age. Inner name label with name cut out as mentioned above.

Notes: Although the original owner, or his family, have cut out his name, there are ink name loops falling below the cut section, and high points above the cut section. At this rank level, it may be possible to work out the original owners name.
