Breathtaking Condition 


Heer Officers 'double etched' dagger for sale. The early heavily silvered, Heer Officers dagger with beautiful white optional ivory grip with stunning 'hard' ridge sections.. The top and lower mounts with heavy-silvered plate finish and dark grey anodising to the recesses. The blade with floral decoration and central Heer eagle & swastika, to the obverse. The reverse with full floral & scroll decoration. The blade a typical Voos unmarked version. The scabbard in a very heavy-silvered finish. The dagger complete with a silver-aluminium portepee, and delux Heer hangers with so-called 'horseshoe' top.

Condition report: The heavy silvered fittings remaining in excellent towards near mint condition. The grip in stunning condition condition. The blade remaining in close to mint condition with 100% polished finish to the blade. The beautiful double etching deep and razor sharp. A pleasure to behold. Scabbard perfect with 100% of its heavy silvered finish remaining. Screws unmolested. Smooth glide of the dagger into the scabbard.The portepee clean and free from fraying. The hangers clean and lovely quality.

Provenance: The dagger acquired from either Thomas Johnson (USA) or Thomas Wittmann (USA) during the 1980s or early 1990s for the Douglas Pratt Collection. Remaining in his collection to date.
